Everywhere is Accessible
I first started looking at electric bikes about 5 years ago. The idea that I could possibly get rid of my car and, in a real and practical way, get everywhere I needed to go in a city that is very hilly, took root. I began researching the various approaches being developed for motorized bicycles but none of them really excited me, and that’s not even considering how ugly they were. Giant unsightly battery packs and weight in excess of 60 lbs – yuck!
But then I started reading about the Faraday, and it was really love at first sight. The classic/retro styling, the elegant battery solution, and the fact that it was a pedal assist with no throttle won me over. I wanted one but was really worried about spending so much money on a bike that I wasn’t sure I’d use frequently enough to justify the cost. I kind of laugh about that now because I am in love with my bike!
It’s been just under two years since I got it, and I *still* get excited to ride it…everyday!! There is nowhere in the city I can’t get to, and I don’t arrive a sweaty mess. I don’t have to pack a change of clothes to bike to work, and I routinely bike in dresses and high heels. This bike really is so much fun to ride! If you’re on the fence – just get one. You won’t regret it for a second!
