Ordering Online or Offline

Are Faraday electric bikes sold internationally?

Faraday only has dealers in the US. We sell online and also ship to Canada and Mexico. We hope to move into new markets soon!

How much does shipping cost?

We charge $100 for shipping to anywhere in the US and $300 for shipping to Canada and Mexico which covers all duties and any assembly fees. You just pick up your bike ready to ride!

If I order online, how long does shipping take and what happens next?

We process all orders within 24 hours and most bikes arrive at their destination between 7-10 business days later. If you live close to one of our dealers we’ll check with them first to see if your bike is in stock, in which case you’ll have your new Faraday even quicker. Our bikes need to be assembled by a bike shop so we’ll connect with you after the purchase to confirm a location. You’ll then pick up your Faraday and be ready to ride.

Does it matter if I order my eBike online or offline?

Not at all, whichever is more convenient for you. If you order online and live near a dealer, then we’ll still coordinate with your local Faraday shop to get the bike ready for you and give them credit for the sale.

What are my options if I don’t live near a dealer?

We’re working on getting dealers in every city we can! Until then you can still order online and we can work with any bike shop to arrange delivery. Just let us know if you have a preference or we can help you with choosing the right shop in your area.

What is meant by “Class 1” electric bikes?

Most states classify electric bikes according to “class” or “type”. Class 1 eBikes are the most common and have a top speed of 20mph. Legally, they’re generally treated the same as any non-electric bicycle. Here’s a bit more info from our friends at PeopleForBikes on the California eBike policy that’s often cited as the model legislation for other states to follow: https://peopleforbikes.org/blog/new-e-bike-law-passes-in-california/

In most states, yes. The legality of eBikes varies by state and due to some great advocacy work, the law is becoming more progressive in most places across the country. Again PeopleForBikes has helpful state-by-state resources that are a huge help: https://peopleforbikes.org/our-work/e-bikes/policies-and-laws/

Do you ship outside the U.S.?

We don’t have immediate plans to sell our electric bikes beyond the USA, Canada, and Mexico ourselves. There are instances where particularly proactive shops and distributors have bought our eBikes for additional markets (e.g. Australia) but the impetus is on them to help us make it happen. If you know someone in your country willing to buy in bulk and figure out all of the electric bicycle legal/tax/import paperwork let us know!

Is there a coupon or a way to get a discount?

Faraday rarely offers eBike discounts online as we want to support our electric bike dealers around the country by not undercutting their prices. Faraday dealers, on the other hand, can be more flexible if they choose to be, try visiting your local faraday dealers to see if they have any special offers.

For Faraday Riders Club members we will offer deals on accessories and exclusive products so if you’re a Faraday owner we recommend you sign up soon! All FRC members also have the power to offer a $200 discount code to friends and family so if you know anyone with a Faraday make sure you remind them!
